Anyone watching?
That blocked field goal in the 3rd, and the subsequent calls all in favor of Green Bay ... I don't know if I should feel good about that touchdown or not. It really seems like the officials were determined to give us the ball back and a first down.
So, yay?

Hey, I missed why this was the last Packers/Vikings game in the Metrodome? What's that about?

Today Jermichael Finley tweeted that he will contribute $500 to One Fund Boston in the upcoming year for every pass he drops. (He will also pay it for every touchdown.) The text of his tweet was:
I'll b donating $500 4 every dropped pass this season 2 One Fund Boston. Now fans can cheer & boo me @ the same time! Also giving $500/TD!

(Yes, from my calendar)
The Packers narrowly missed winning the NFL West in 1935 (Detroit won) and advancing to the league title game that year because their 8-4 record included three losses to the Chicago Cardinals by a combined total of six points.

Donald Driver retiring

Driver's contract was up and there was concern that he might go into free agency, but he announced he will retire.

He'll have a retirement ceremony/party at the Atrium in Lambeau on Feb. 6. Tickets were sold on a first come first served basis, and fans stood in line all night--in 10 degrees--to get the tickets.
Driver is the first player I learned to recognize after Favre. I loved his grin and enthusiasm. There was a quote from him on the news that I'll try to find on the web so I can get it right, but it was along the lines of "The day I first put on the Green and Gold I knew this was the only team I wanted to play for."
Godspeed Donald!
