A Packers Trivia Desk Calendar!
I promise not to bore you with every day's trivia fact or quiz, but here are some of January's.
In 1966 the Packers beat the Browns 23-12 on Jan 2 at Lambeau Field to win the NFL championship. What Cleveland star did Green Bay limit to only 50 rushing yards in the final game of his Pro Football Hall of Fame career?
Jim Brown
At 81.6 percent, who is the Packers' all-time leader in field-goal accuracy?
Ryan Longwell. He made 226 of his 277 three-point tries from 1997 to 2005. (Longwell! What a great name for a kicker!)
The Packers played closer to home than all but five NFL teams during the 2011 regular season. They traveled only 10,510 air miles to their eight road games. By contrast, No. 1 San Francisco traveled 29,196 miles.
